Tackling the pressures surrounding ambulance services with Glasgow Street Aid
In 2022 we entered into a partnership with Glasgow Street Aid (GSA), a charity dedicated to providing front-line care to those in need during busy nighttime periods. By addressing non-emergency issues that do not require ambulance services, the charity is playing a critical role in easing the load on traditional emergency services, allowing paramedics to focus on more severe cases.
The Ongoing Partnership between Glasgow Street Aid & Pro-Cloud
The goal of this partnership is simple: utilise Pro-Cloud as their logistics solution to help the team at GSA streamline and modernise their working methods, while managing and tracking essential consumables and equipment in real-time.
Consumable management is a core requirement for Glasgow Street Aid, as the charity must ensure that items like medical supplies, personal protective equipment, and basic care provisions are always on hand. Pro-Cloud’s inventory management and stock replenishment tools enable efficient tracking of stock levels, expiry dates, and usage rates for all consumables, reducing waste and preventing supply shortages. GSA’s teams can now quickly check stock availability, minimising the need for last-minute purchases or runs to local suppliers.
By using Pro-Cloud, Glasgow Street Aid has created a more resilient supply chain that reduces operational disruption, ensuring supplies are available when they are needed most. This has proved especially critical during periods of high demand, allowing GSA to respond flexibly and rapidly to changing circumstances without depleting resources.
The Implementation Process
From 2022 and into early 2023, we worked with the team at GSA to identify their unique challenges as we looked to implement the solution. Throughout this period our team then worked towards an actionable implementation plan to ensure the transition to Pro-Cloud was as smooth as possible without impeding GSA’s vital life-saving work.
Throughout the implementation process our team held regular meetings with leaders from GSA to identify any potential challenges, work towards pragmatic solutions, and configure our solution to match GSA’s unique needs and requirements. Our Project Delivery team helped GSA tag and label their inventory, provided system training, and collaborated with GSA to devise optimised workflow processes.
